VARLOS® Hyundai AutoEver VF Builder Virtual Factory Platform
The Hyundai AutoEver VF Builder-based virtual factory platform is a digital manufacturing simulation environment designed to review processes and equipment without physical constraints and validate various manufacturing conditions in advance.
By implementing equipment layouts, process flows, and work scenarios in a 3D virtual factory, it helps users identify operational feasibility and improvement opportunities before actual deployment. This supports more efficient process design, simulation-based decision-making, and reduced operational trial and error.
VF Builder is a virtual factory platform built on Unreal Engine 5.3 to configure and simulate various factory layouts in a virtual environment. Through six editors, Asset, Task, Artifact, Scene, Workflow, and Dashboard, users can manage equipment placement, task definitions, process flows, and operational data visualization in one environment, while validating SF solutions before physical deployment and reviewing factory operation scenarios more intuitively.
The virtual factory environment built around six editors allows users to configure equipment, design process flows, run simulations, and review operational data within one integrated validation platform.

Based on predefined Scenes and Workflows, virtual simulations offer play and speed controls to review multiple operation scenarios and verify the applicability of SF solutions in advance.
Dashboard and Chart functions visualize the operating status and data of the virtual factory. Teams can analyze process conditions from generated data and quickly identify workflow patterns and bottlenecks.
VF Builder organizes the functions required for virtual factory development and validation into six core editors. Each editor is designed to manage assets, tasks, artifacts, spaces, workflows, and data according to its purpose.
Creates and manages 3D models and equipment for the virtual factory, defining their detailed appearance and attributes.
Visually designs tasks and behavior logic connected to Assets, and structures Attribute-based Blueprint flows.
Manages artifacts used or generated during Asset operations and connects them for use in Tasks and Workflows.
Places Assets to build the virtual factory space and process layout, with basic controls such as copy, move, delete, and rotate.
Connects Tasks to configure process execution sequences and workflows, defining overall behavior through Blueprint nodes.
Builds charts for virtual factory operating status and simulation data, with adjustable size and placement for each purpose.
The VF Builder-based virtual factory platform creates an environment for repeated design and validation before physical construction, improving process review efficiency and the practical use of operational data.
Hyundai AutoEver aimed to validate SF solutions and secure a promotional site through the development of a virtual factory without physical constraints, led by the SF Innovation Technology Team in its next-generation IT business division. Based on its HMGICS digital twin experience, the company recognized the need for a dedicated virtual factory solution and proceeded with Samwoo Immersion to build the platform.
Built on Unreal Engine 5.3, VF Builder creates an environment where teams can test various factory layouts and validate SF solutions before actual facility deployment. Users can review equipment configuration, work flows, operating status, and data visualization through six Editors and Simulation functions.
This VF Builder-based platform enables integrated equipment placement, task definition, process simulation, and operational data analysis in a virtual factory environment without physical constraints.
This project was structured around Hyundai AutoEver's digital transformation strategy, allowing virtual factory design and validation to be performed in one environment. Through six core editors, Asset, Task, Artifact, Scene, Workflow, and Dashboard, users can manage assets, tasks, artifacts, spaces, workflows, and operational data by purpose. The Simulation function runs predefined Scenes and Workflows and helps users review the current operating status and utilization rate of the virtual factory.
This allows teams to repeatedly review layouts and process scenarios before building a real factory, reduce trial and error during operation, and secure a validation environment based on visualized data.
