Samwoo Immersion (CEO David Kim), a VR-based professional education and training solution company, announced on the 9th that it signed a contract with Korea Aerospace Industries, Ltd. (KAI) to develop FA-50 VCBT (Visual Cockpit Based Training) video content and supply computer systems.

This project is to develop VR-based flight training content to be used in the FA-50M pilot training course of the Malaysian Air Force. The main purpose is to allow pilots to learn the cockpit system more intuitively and increase their understanding of the aircraft in an immersive 3D training environment.

In this project, Samwoo Immersion plans to develop training content that integrates cutting-edge XR technologies, such as ▲ VR-based cockpit environment implementation, ▲ application of interactive UI/UX considering pilot convenience, ▲ Unreal Engine-based object optimization, and ▲ real-time processing and rendering of large-scale terrain data.

This contract is a follow-up project to the export of the domestically produced FA-50 light attack aircraft to Malaysia (18 aircraft), and is expected to further enhance the completeness of the FA-50 platform by providing localized training content, while also contributing to strengthening the global competitiveness of K-defense.
