Samwoo Immersion welcomes the Chairman of Korea Polytechnics... Exploring the educational applications of XR/AI technologies and discussing future collaboration opportunities
On July 3rd, the Chairman of Korea Polytechnics visited the headquarters of Samwoo Immersion. This visit focused on an overall introduction of the company and a tour of its advanced technologies, with in-depth discussions on the educational potential of XR (Extended Reality) content and AI (Artificial Intelligence) technologies. The Chairman experienced firsthand Samwoo Immersion’s industrial simulations, vocational VR training content, and digital twin-based solutions, expressing a strong impression of their technological completeness and educational practicality. Particularly, the immersive nature of XR technologies and their potential to enhance learning efficiency in hands-on vocational education drew special attention, raising interest in integrating these technologies into Korea Polytechnics’ curricula.

Samwoo Immersion is currently collaborating with various industries to develop customized XR content and is accelerating its research on intelligent learning systems that analyze learner proficiency and provide personalized feedback through AI convergence technologies. This technological direction aligns well with Korea Polytechnics’ field-oriented educational philosophy, and both parties discussed potential collaboration models in detail.
Notably, Samwoo Immersion has built a long-term partnership with Korea Polytechnics starting with an MOU signed with the Busan Campus’s Creative Convergence Center in 2020. Collaborative milestones include the development of the Polytechnic Metaverse Center platform, hosting of the Malaysian Polytechnic delegation, XR content and hardware implementation for national “Dream Workshop” programs from 2023 to 2025, development of XR-based practical training programs for semiconductor departments, and the construction of XR labs.
This meeting served as a valuable opportunity to explore the possibilities of technology exchange, joint research, and content development based on industry-academia cooperation. Both institutions are looking forward to continuing their partnership to help shape the ecosystem of future-oriented vocational education.
