Introduction to the New Trend of Reality Tech and Eco-friendly Propulsion Ship Training
Samwoo Immersion announced that on the 17th, it shared its vision for the maritime and ship industry with the delegation of the Chinese Society for Internal Combustion Engines (CSICE), including the Vice President of CSICE, researchers from the Shanghai Marine Diesel Engine Research Institute, and professors from Harbin Institute of Technology who are currently visiting Korea.
This visit was hosted by the Korea Forum for Engine & Components (KOFEC), providing an opportunity to showcase advanced industrial AR/XR technologies to the CSICE delegation from China.
The delegation, composed of engineers and professors specializing in engine research, participated in a Technical Tour to explore Samwoo Immersion’s technologies and share its vision while aiming to establish an international cooperation network related to the digitalization of the engine industry.
The CSICE delegation showed particular interest in the Full Mission Bridge (FMB) Simulator, which allows instructors to configure training conditions by adjusting current, wind strength, and direction to simulate specific sea environments. They also experienced the LNG-fueled vessel bunkering simulator and the Dual-Fuel (DF) engine operation training system through VR and CBT platforms. Among these, the Ship Engine Training CBT system received the most enthusiastic response, as it allows users to handle a virtual ship diesel engine that accurately replicates the real engine’s principles, structure, and components, enabling multi-angle observation and simulation of its operation, assembly, and disassembly processes.

Deputy Secretary-General Zhang Dandan of the Chinese Society for Internal Combustion Engines stated that through Samwoo Immersion, the delegation witnessed the rapid growth and potential of the maritime and ship industries integrating Digital Twin and VR technologies. She expressed her hope that this visit would become a new starting point for economic and corporate exchanges between the two nations and cities.
The Korea Forum for Engine & Components (KOFEC) announced that, through this exchange, it aims to pursue global growth together with Samwoo Immersion and continue building a mutually complementary cooperation framework through various collaborations.
