APEC Business Advisory Committee's Asia-Pacific Entrepreneurs Annual Forum Participant Delegation visits Samwoo Immersion
The delegation of participants from the Asia-Pacific Entrepreneurs Annual Forum—which was successfully held in Gyeongju from October 31 to November 1 as part of the APEC Summit—concluded their APEC schedule and paid a sudden visit to Samwoo Immersion on the morning of Sunday, November 2. Following their participation in the Asia-Pacific Entrepreneurs Annual Forum, hosted by the Global Secretary-General of the APEC Business Advisory Council, the delegation visited the leading Korean IT company, Samwoo Immersion. The purpose of the visit was to gain a better understanding of the Korean economic and industrial market situation and to strengthen regional cooperation among APEC economies through diverse networking.
The delegation's visit began at the SWXR CAMPUS on the 7th floor of the Heungkuk Life Insurance Building with a company introduction presentation by Samwoo Immersion CEO, David Kim. This was followed by a demonstration of VR job training content using the company’s proprietary XR content experience equipment, the VR STATION XO. The group then moved to the main office on the 10th floor to continue with a company tour.
The continuation of the Samwoo Immersion company tour introduced CBT-based job training content in the SWXR CAMPUS XR Classroom. The delegation then moved to the SWXR CAMPUS XR Training Room where they were shown a video presentation of VARLOS, the company's digital twin solution.The final stop was the XR Open Lab, Immersion Space, where they showcased various simulation systems used for defense training, including the Fighter Jet Simulator and the Full Mission Bridge (FMB) Simulator. The delegation expressed great admiration for the technology's potential application in the global defense training market.
After the tour, a Q&A session was held back at the SWXR CAMPUS on the 7th floor, where attendees raised a diverse range of questions driven by their curiosity about the XR industry. Questions covered multi-faceted topics considering connectivity with various business sectors, such as the current state and market share of the Korean XR market, the possibility of Samwoo Immersion's entry into the XR content entertainment industry, and the potential for integration with Farm tech. Samwoo Immersion CEO David Kim addressed these questions by drawing upon the company's 14 years of accumulated technological know-how.
The delegation that visited Samwoo Immersion was composed of young entrepreneurs from various industries in different regions of China, including Shenzhen and Beijing, with backgrounds in sectors such as ship technology, smart farm technology, and finance.Although they each hailed from different business fields, they showed significant interest in Samwoo Immersion's technology. It was a meaningful time where all parties mutually confirmed the potential for future cooperation.
