SWXR Campus Operates a Hands-on Career Exploration Program in Collaboration with the RISE Project Group
The SWXR Campus, operated by Samwoo Immersion, conducted an XR and AI-based corporate exploration program for university students on February 11, in collaboration with The Catholic University of Korea RISE Project Group. A total of 14 students participated in the program, which was designed as a career and competency development initiative, offering step-by-step experiences ranging from understanding XR developer roles to hands-on technical practice.
Unlike a traditional company tour, the program aimed to provide a field-oriented career exploration experience, allowing students to directly observe and experience the skills, technologies, and industry demands required in real development environments.
The first session featured a theoretical lecture on XR developer roles and career readiness. The lecture covered the XR industry ecosystem, job role responsibilities, and technical competencies required in recruitment, along with practical guidance on building a competitive portfolio through real-world portfolio case analysis.
In the following session, participants experienced AI and XR demonstrations using OWLIX AI and NEXUS-X. Rather than simply introducing technology, the session focused on understanding how sLLM (smaller Language Model)-based AI can expand realistic, developer-implementable services and content. Students explored customized learning, assessment, and content generation frameworks through OWLIX AI, recognizing AI not merely as a consumer tool but as a powerful asset for development and service planning.
Through the NEXUS-X demonstration, participants gained insights into the architecture and development workflow of XR–AI convergence platforms, expanding their technical perspectives for real-world project applications. Midway through the program, students took part in a company tour of Samwoo Immersion’s XR development facilities, where they observed content production environments, development pipelines, and XR project operations, gaining firsthand exposure to real industry workflows.
In the subsequent experiential session, students engaged in an LBVR (Location-Based Virtual Reality) semiconductor process simulation. LBVR enables free movement in a large physical space, offering immersive, action-based experiences such as walking, navigating, avoiding obstacles, and interacting, unlike traditional stationary VR. Participants followed the semiconductor manufacturing workflow in a virtual environment, examining equipment and experiencing each process step in sequence.
This allowed students to explore semiconductors—one of the key future industries—through XR, gaining firsthand insight into the convergence of industry and advanced technology. The program concluded with a CPR-X immersive XR CPR training experience, featuring realistic scenarios set in urban streets, subway stations, and hotel lobbies. With instant feedback and high immersion, students learned life-saving skills through hands-on experience rather than theory.
Participants responded positively, stating, “Seeing both XR development roles and real corporate environments helped clarify my career path,” and “It was impressive to understand AI and XR from a developer’s perspective.”
A representative from SWXR Campus noted, “This program was designed to help university students view technology not as consumers, but as developers and planners,” adding that SWXR Campus will continue expanding XR and AI-based career exploration programs in collaboration with universities and industry partners.
