The Future Talent Development Center SWXR Campus successfully delivered an innovative collaboration combining XR-based career exploration, hands-on job experiences, and coding education—setting a new trend in future career education for youth.
The Future Talent Development Center SWXR Campus, operated by Samwoo Immersion, successfully concluded the “SWXR CAMPUS × Kooring Metaverse Adventure” education program in collaboration with Kooring Metaverse Adventure from February 1 to February 20. The program engaged approximately 250 youths across the Gyeonggi region. Conducted as part of the RISE Project led by The Catholic University of Korea, this program combined Samwoo Immersion’s IMXR career-experience content with Kooring Metaverse Adventure’s platform to deliver future career exploration and AI coding education using virtual reality (VR) and artificial intelligence (AI). Designed as an experience-driven digital education initiative, the program aimed to strengthen regional youth digital competencies and was offered to students across Gyeonggi Province, including Dongtan, Anseong, and Ansan.
The curriculum featured an immersive coding learning environment using VR head-mounted displays (HMDs), enabling even elementary students with no prior coding experience to participate with ease. Mission-based tasks and team activities fostered computational thinking, problem-solving skills, and collaboration, while block-based coding and unplugged activities were integrated to enhance learning comprehension and engagement. In addition, XR-based career experience sessions allowed students to explore future high-tech professions—such as semiconductor engineers and pharmaceutical researchers—further strengthening their future career readiness.
The program consisted of four structured sessions: △ Fundamentals of computational thinking, △ VR HMD operation and virtual planet coding practice, △ Understanding functions and loops, and algorithm optimization, △ Exploration of future careers using AI and extended reality (XR) technologies. This systematic learning pathway guided students from foundational concepts to applied and extended learning stages.

Director Kang Cheol-hee of the Yangpyeong Dongbu Youth Culture Center, which participated in the program, stated: “While demand for enhanced digital experiential learning continues to grow in educational settings, rural and fishing village after-school academies face limitations in budget and facilities that make it difficult to offer such programs. We sincerely appreciate The Catholic University of Korea and Samwoo Immersion for visiting our institution in person and providing local youth with valuable opportunities to experience future technologies.”
