The Future Talent Development Center SWXR Campus presents a next-generation education model, demonstrating a 76.5 percentage-point increase in academic achievement while proving the practical implementation of ESG management values.

The Future Talent Development Center SWXR Campus, operated by Samwoo Immersion, successfully completed the โSWXR CAMPUS ร Kooring Metaverse Adventureโ program for approximately 250 youths in the Gyeonggi region from February 1 to February 20, in collaboration with Kooring Metaverse Adventure.
Conducted as part of The Catholic University of Koreaโs G-RISE Project, this program went beyond simple technology exposure. It transformed codingโoften perceived by students as โdifficultโโinto an experience students could understand and explain on their own, drawing strong attention from parents and education professionals alike. Notably, this VR- and AI-integrated coding program did more than showcase new technologies; it demonstrated measurable educational impact with concrete data from real classroom settings.
In the coming era, AI and software competencies are no longer optional but essential. However, traditional coding educationโlimited to flat monitors filled with letters and numbersโhas often caused students to give up before truly understanding. Core concepts such as loops and nested functions, which form the backbone of AI algorithms, have long been regarded as areas that are โextremely difficult to explain to students.โ
According to the programโs outcome report, VR-integrated coding education directly overcame these limitations. Instead of reading code on a screen, students experienced a 3D virtual environment where characters moved and outcomes changed based on their choices and logic. Rather than memorizing abstract concepts, learning occurred naturally through repeated cycles of โseeing โ experiencing โ correcting.โ As a result, the overall average learning achievement increased by an impressive 76.5 percentage points compared to pre-program levels.
| Key Evaluation Criteria | Why Is This Important? | Pre-Survey Average | Post-Survey Average | Improvement |
| Computational Thinking | Fundamental cognitive capacity for efficiently solving problems in the upcoming AI era | 1.9 | 4.6 | +2.7 |
| Understanding Algorithmic Processes | Core competency for solving complex problems through logical sequencing | 2.5 | 4.6 | +2.1 |
| Function Comprehension | Essential concept for writing efficient and well-structured code | 1.87 | 4.6 | +2.73 |
| Understanding Loops | Fundamental logic where students most often give up in traditional coding education | 1.77 | 4.6 | +2.83 |
| Understanding Nested Functions | Advanced logical thinking required to design sophisticated AI algorithms | 1.64 | 4.6 | +2.96 |

Behind this dramatic improvement in academic performance lies the โsafe failure experienceโ provided by virtual reality. A particularly noteworthy result was a 22.7 percentage-point correction in metacognitive bias, where learners tend to overestimate their own level of understanding. Instead of merely checking error messages on a flat screen, students repeatedly faced situations in which their characters stopped moving due to coding errors within the virtual space, prompting them to identify and fix problems on their own. This process went beyond improving scores; it positively influenced studentsโ learning attitudes by helping them accurately recognize their level of understanding and persistently reattempt challenges.

One participating student shared vivid feedback: โSolving missions while wearing a VR headset felt like playing a game, and seeing how the code worked right away made it much easier to understand.โ As learning itself transformed into an enjoyable experience, the program achieved an 80% recommendation rate and an 85% intention-to-reenroll rate, clearly demonstrating its value as a sustainable next-generation education model.
| Evaluation Metric | Key Outcome | Implications |
| Metacognitive Bias Correction | 22.7%p correction | Enhanced self-objectivity and self-directed debugging skills through โsafe failureโ experiences within virtual environments |
| Program Recommendation Rate | 80% positive | Strong voluntary learning motivation driven by immersive, game-like engagement |
| Intention to Enroll in Future Programs | 85% positive | Demonstrates the value of the program as a sustainable, next-generation education model rather than a one-time event |

Beyond educational outcomes, this program has also been recognized as a practical implementation of the โSocialโ pillar of Samwoo Immersionโs ESG management values. In an environment where multicultural families are increasing, language barriers remain one of the biggest obstacles to accessing digital education. To address this, the program introduced software education content supporting nine languages, enabling inclusion of approximately 90% of multicultural families in Korea and significantly lowering barriers to participation. Moreover, VRโs intuitive visual information delivery proved effective for children with hearing impairments, ensuring that all students could engage in learning on equal footing. This initiative exemplifies education that does not merely prioritize technology, but rather ensures that no learner is left behind.

By breaking down social barriers through technology, this program also left a strong impression on on-site education professionals. Director Kang Cheol-hee of the Yangpyeong Dongbu Youth Culture Center expressed his appreciation, stating: โDue to infrastructure limitations, it has been difficult to provide high-quality digital education in rural areas. Seeing the childrenโs eyes light up after experiencing future technologies firsthand was truly meaningful.โ
In addition, the program went beyond basic coding to include IMXR career exploration, allowing students to experience advanced future professionsโsuch as semiconductor engineers and pharmaceutical researchersโfrom a first-person perspective, providing concrete and powerful motivation.
A SWXR Campus representative commented: โThese results clearly show that immersive technologies can foster cognitive development and even transform studentsโ attitudes toward learning. Guided by Samwoo Immersionโs ESG philosophy, we will continue expanding programs so that anyoneโregardless of region, language, or environmentโcan access high-quality digital education.โ
