The "Human-Centered - Carbon Neutral Global Supply Chain Research Center" and Samwoo Immersion Co., Ltd., led by the Department of Industrial Engineering at Pusan National University, which were selected for the government's 2023 "Leading Research Center (ERC)" project, will build a Metaverse platform for supply chain simulation using high-speed logistics transaction processing technology to build an integrated supply chain data platform based on the maritime-port logistics process.
It will be manufactured with functions to calculate and predict emissions by sea-port-land logistics entity, prevent abnormal detection of ship operation and port equipment operation accidents, derive optimal route for ships considering safety and environment, and predict logistics resilience according to the safety and environmental conditions of global supply chains.

Based on Samwoo Immersion's digital twin platform VARLOS terminal monitoring digital twin system, 'human-centered - carbon neutral global supply chain Metaverse' is expected to be able to introduce the optimal DT system that integrates various target information. In particular, Samwoo Immersion's VARLOS system is expected to help increase the value of this study with an optimized solution that has undergone various DT demonstrations at Busan Port Shinseondae Terminal and POSCO Gwangyang Product Shipping Pier.
