David Kim, CEO of Samwoo Immersion Co., Ltd., through the Korea Maritime Transportation Safety Authority (KOMSA) Small and Medium Vessel Safety Technology Forum Presentation on Reality Tech and Fishing Boat Safety in New Trend

On the 11th, a small and medium ship safety technology forum was held in conjunction with the Korea Maritime Transportation Safety Authority (KOMSA) Maritime Week.

David Kim, CEO of Samwoo Immersion Co., Ltd., attended the Small and Medium Ship Safety Technology Forum and gave a session presentation on the topic “Reality Tech and Fishing Boat Safety in New Trend.”

In connection with the '2024 Korea Maritime Week', the 'IMO SMART-C Program' was operated, and a small and medium ship safety technology forum was held. Korea Maritime Week, held every year since 2007, is a representative event of the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries that invites domestic and foreign experts to share information and seek response measures on major issues in the international maritime sector.

Kim Jun-seok, Chairman of the Korea Maritime Transportation Safety Authority, said, “The Corporation is contributing to the promotion of digitalization and decarbonization of ships, which are recent key issues in the maritime sector, through activities in response to the International Maritime Organization (IMO),” and added, “This SMART-C program and small and medium-sized ships “By holding international events such as the Safety Technology Forum, we will lay the foundation for discovering new ODA (Official Development Assistance) projects and IMO technical cooperation projects, and we will continue to contribute to strengthening the capabilities of female human resources in the maritime sector in developing countries.”
