As a leader in the development of military education and training systems, Samwoo Immersion successfully participated in the 2024 Korea International Defense Exhibition (KADEX), held from October 2 to 6, showcasing cutting-edge technologies in the defense sector. At this exhibition, Samwoo Immersion unveiled the KUH VR Simulator, developed in collaboration with Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI), at their booth.
The KUH VR Simulator is an advanced training system that provides an immersive flight experience using real-world data and Unreal Engine. Through virtual reality (VR), users can experience flight from a pilot's perspective over real terrains captured by drones. The system is integrated with control sticks (CLS) and motion seats to realistically replicate the movements of a helicopter, offering a flight experience that closely mirrors real-life operations.
The KUH VR simulator, in which Samwoo Immersion participated in the research and development, is a defense education and training system that perfectly combines XR (extended reality) technology and training simulator technology. This system significantly improves situational awareness and communication skills while offering control experiences similar to actual equipment, allowing users to acquire skills that can be immediately applied in real-world scenarios.
Through this exhibition, Samwoo Immersion once again demonstrated its technological prowess and innovation, presenting a more complete solution for defense training systems.
