Seoul Women's College of Nursing High-Risk Neonatal Nursing VR Solution Application Case
Providing educational content to improve job training and disaster response capabilities for healthcare workers and nursing students
Samwoo Immersion, in collaboration with Seoul Women's College of Nursing, has successfully developed an immersive VR solution for high-risk neonatal nursing.
This project was conducted with the purpose of fostering practical response skills required in real-life situations by moving away from the existing theory-centered education using virtual reality (VR). Samwoo Immersion's nursing VR content helped nursing students improve their proficiency and response skills through repetitive learning in a realistic environment.
The VR solution we have built this time includes high-difficulty scenarios such as neonatal intensive care unit infection management, high-risk drug management, and ventilator management, and learners can strengthen their preparation and response to real-life situations by repeatedly practicing in virtual reality.
Samwoo Immersion has applied a dual screen configuration and mapping technology that enhances immersion, completely eliminating external screen distortion that may occur during education, thereby maximizing the effectiveness and immersion of education.
Through this project, Samwoo Immersion and Seoul Women's College of Nursing have brought about a paradigm shift in medical education and laid the foundation for educators at Seoul Women's College of Nursing to receive training in an efficient and safe educational environment.

- Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Infection Control : Learning practical infection control procedures including hand washing procedures, infection control upon admission, and preparation of supplies
- Breastfeeding related nursing : Education on procedures necessary for breastfeeding, such as breastmilk preparation process, gastric tube possession process, and aspiration prevention nursing
- Contact Isolation Patient Management : Learn about patient isolation guidelines, incubator disinfection, and infectious waste management procedures.
| - Management of peripheral venous catheter insertion sites in premature infants : Learning advanced nursing skills such as assessment of peripheral venous catheter insertion site and sterile dressing procedures
- Management of high-risk drug injection infections : Learn high-risk medication nursing procedures, including preparing high-risk medications and using infusion pumps.
- Care of Patients on Nasal CPAP : Learning the procedures for managing patients, including checking the ventilator, breathing, and assessing the condition
