Building a Safe Port Culture Through Virtual Reality (VR)
The project conducted in collaboration with Korea Port Training Institute and Busan Training Institute aimed to enhance the safety training for port workers exposed to hazardous port handling environments. By establishing and providing access to a Virtual Reality (VR) safety education facility, it contributed to fostering a safer port environment and enhancing the competitiveness of the port industry.
The project involved immersive training sessions where port workers experienced simulated port accident scenarios similar to real port environments. These simulations aimed to improve workers' adaptability to safety procedures. Additionally, a smart multimedia learning system was developed to facilitate education and training, focusing on learner-centered lectures with feedback, discussions, and presentations
