[SWXR CAMPUS 25.07.07.] Future Talent Center’s SWXR Campus Completes XR-Based Secondary Battery & Equipment Training for Vision College and Korea Polytechnics

SWXR Campus Hosts XR-Based Secondary Battery Training for Professors from Jeonju Vision College and Korea Polytechnics

On July 7, as part of the New Industry 2.0 Initiative, Samwoo Immersion’s SWXR Campus conducted a specialized XR-based training program on secondary battery manufacturing and new equipment utilization for faculty members from Jeonju Vision College—designated as a leading specialized college for secondary battery industries in 2025—and Korea Polytechnics (Jeonbuk Campus).

The approximately five-hour program began with a keynote lecture by Samwoo Immersion CEO David Kim on the use of XR technology in education and training. This was followed by a session on current trends and future prospects of the secondary battery industry.

After the lectures, participants engaged in a hands-on session with Samwoo Immersion’s MR-based Secondary Battery Cell Manufacturing Content, currently in use at institutions such as Kyungpook National University. This session offered a firsthand experience of how XR can be applied in education and training for manufacturing processes.

MR Content Hands-On: Coin Cell Manufacturing Process

Practical

This content was developed to strengthen hands-on competencies in secondary battery cell manufacturing. Actual equipment was recreated through 3D modeling, and the integration of passthrough cameras and real-time rendering technology enables natural and seamless interaction.

Mixed Reality (MR) seamlessly integrates the physical and virtual worlds through an organic connection rather than a separation, enhancing the user’s immersion in the content.
The environment reflects not only the scale of the equipment but also the spatial distance between the user and the devices, enabling precise actions and judgments during training.
To alleviate initial confusion that may arise when using specialized equipment, narration and guided support are provided, ensuring ease of use for the participants.

A participating professor in the training program shared, “Through the combination of theoretical education and XR-based practical training, we were able to establish a clear direction for the secondary battery curriculum, particularly the hands-on training aspects.”

Building on this educational experience, Samwoo Immersion is set to launch an immersive, experience-focused teacher training program this August, coinciding with the official opening of its futuristic classroom platform, BEYOND X.

The tentative BEYOND X EDU CAMP program will include XR-based future-classroom experiences, generative AI-assisted teaching material creation, platform-based lesson demonstrations, and curriculum design workshops. Participants will have the opportunity to design and practice future-ready lessons and develop practical teaching plans that can be directly applied in real classrooms.

Additionally, the program offers an immersive workation environment by combining coastal content in the Busan area (such as yachting and surfing) with accommodation, creating a novel teacher training model that blends education and relaxation. Following its official launch, the program will be expanded nationwide for teachers and education institution representatives. We warmly welcome your interest and inquiries.

Furthermore, Samwoo Immersion’s SWXR CAMPUS conducts diverse educational and experiential activities based on XR content. Certified as an Unreal Authorized Training Center (UATC), the campus runs development-focused Unreal Engine training programs aimed at nurturing skilled professionals. In response to the digital transformation era, the programs continuously expand to include cutting-edge technologies such as digital twins, AI, and immersive content to strengthen competencies.

Particularly targeting emerging industries where XR technology is actively used—such as semiconductors and secondary batteries—Samwoo Immersion plans to intensify job training and practical education in sectors facing spatial and other real-world constraints. By combining expert lectures from university professors and senior industry executives with XR-based hands-on training, the program aims to maximize educational effectiveness.
