Future Talent Development Center SWXR Campus Offers XR Semiconductor Experience to Students from Korea Science Technology High School, Dae Gwang High School, and Dongeui High School, Helping Them Grasp the “Future of Technology”
SWXR Campus, operated by Samwoo Immersion, successfully conducted an XR content experience program on October 13–14 for students from Korea Science Technology High School, Dae Gwang High School, and Dongeui High School. This program, part of the “Dong-Eui University Semiconductor Technology Talent Development Project,” was designed to let students directly experience the semiconductor industry through XR technology, beyond just observing it visually.

Semiconductors are the core components of future industries such as AI, autonomous vehicles, and robotics, and have recently become a major focus in youth career education. However, due to ultra-fine processes and expensive equipment, it is difficult for students to experience actual semiconductor manufacturing at school. To overcome this limitation, SWXR Campus implemented XR-based simulations of the eight major semiconductor processes (miniature), cleanroom facilities, Dry Etcher, RF Sputter, Furnace System, Lithography, and PCMC. This allowed students to understand the overall flow of the industry without losing the sense of being on-site. In other words, the program’s greatest feature was bringing the normally inaccessible semiconductor industry up close through XR.
The ultra-fine processes and costly equipment, previously impossible for students to witness directly, were safely and immersively conveyed through XR technology. This enabled students to experience firsthand why XR is necessary—the power to make invisible technology visible.
Through XR equipment, students were able to observe the role of each technology and piece of equipment at every process stage. They responded with comments such as, “I understood much faster,” and “It was fun to experience it hands-on.” One student laughed, saying, “I tried memorizing the sequence of semiconductor processes by following along verbally,” while another remarked, “It’s amazing that there are actual jobs handling this kind of technology.”
This experience went beyond a simple VR demonstration, providing students an opportunity to explore why they are learning about semiconductors. By intuitively understanding the complex industrial structure through XR, they naturally grasped the message that “technology is not far away—it starts in my own hands.”
SWXR Campus plans to continue expanding XR-based semiconductor and advanced industry education programs, creating immersive learning environments where future tech talent can experience and understand the core of the industry.
