SWXR Campus Operates XR-Based Practical Semiconductor Training Program
Samwoo Immersion’s SWXR Campus has been operating an XR content-based practical semiconductor training course since July 6, as part of the summer seasonal program organized by the Semiconductor Project Group at Dong-Eui University’s Advanced Industry Talent Bootcamp.
On the first day, theoretical semiconductor education was conducted. The course began with a lecture by Yoonhwa Choi, CEO of strategic semiconductor company JMJECO Co., Ltd. The lecture provided in-depth coverage of general semiconductor knowledge, the current status and future of the semiconductor industry in the Busan region, and the skillsets demanded by professionals in the field. Following this, an overview of XR technology and case studies on its application in emerging industries such as semiconductors and secondary batteries were presented. The day concluded with hands-on experience using XR content designed for education and training, currently applied across various industrial sectors.
On the second day, practical training on semiconductor manufacturing processes and maintenance was conducted using XR content in the XR semiconductor lab established by Samwoo Immersion at Dong-Eui University. The hands-on sessions covered the full range of eight major processes, including RF sputtering and lithography, through immersive XR content.
Samwoo Immersion’s SWXR CAMPUS offers specialized job training and professional development programs across various industries utilizing XR content.
Focusing particularly on emerging industries such as semiconductors and secondary batteries, where XR technology is actively applied, the campus plans to intensify job training programs in fields where practical and hands-on education is challenging due to spatial, temporal, and other real-world constraints.
By combining expert lectures from field specialists—including university professors and senior executives from related companies—with XR-based hands-on training, the programs aim to maximize educational effectiveness.
