Korea Port Training Institute Busan... Vivid experience of port accidents such as container crushing

Samwoo Immersion (CEO David Kim) recently built Korea’s first virtual reality (VR)-based port safety experience hall within the Korea Port Training institute Busan.

The Port Safety Experience Center is a facility for preventing various industrial accidents and safety education in the port. Samwoo Immersion has applied VR technology to maximize the effect of disaster prevention and safety education with vivid experiences similar to reality.

The VR Port Safety Experience Center was recognized as an official safety experience training center that satisfies Article 9, Paragraph 4 of the Safety and Health Education Regulations of the Industrial Safety and Health Act. Upon completion of the experience hall safety education course, twice the amount of compulsory education hours centered on the existing theory is recognized.

David Kim, CEO of Samwoo Immersion, said, “After opening, the experience response from first-line workers as well as port safety management supervisors has been enthusiastic.”
