Samwoo Immersion (CEO Kim Dae-hee) announced on the 25th that it has developed a 'VR-based on-site tangible physical therapy job training kit (physical therapy VR kit)' and supplied it as educational equipment to the Department of Physical Therapy at Dong-Eui University of Science and Technology.

The 'Physical Therapy VR Kit' is a VR simulation education system that allows physical therapists and physical therapy trainees to use VR devices and contents to learn the 'fascia therapy point', which is the core of the actual physical therapy process, and to increase their proficiency.

You can learn and train more than 600 'fascia therapy points' on the human body anytime, anywhere, and master the process of myofascial manipulation. The evaluation mode allows you to test your own proficiency.

It is possible to increase the effect of physical therapy education in the future by turning the repeated mistakes or mastery stage, period, and process of a specific 'fascia treatment point' into big data.

The existing 'fascia therapy point' practical training had to be conducted in groups of two. This is because it is essential that the practice target be found and pressed by directly touching the human body with the hand.

However, due to COVID-19, face-to-face training was avoided, and myofascial treatment practice was also difficult. This is the background in which Samwoo Immersion developed the 'Physical Therapy VR Kit'.

The Department of Physical Therapy at Dongui University of Science and Technology first introduced the 'Physical Therapy VR Kit' and applied it to the physical therapy practice course of the early employment contract department. Professor Baek Il-hoon of the Department of Physical Therapy at Dong-Eui University of Science and Technology said, “The biggest advantage is that we can conduct on-site tangible practice necessary for trainees non-face-to-face. good,” he said.

Samwoo Immersion built the 'SWXR Campus' in its headquarters building earlier this year and is developing and operating VR-based LNG ship crew job training, medical service job training contents and training programs.

In addition to this 'Physical Therapy VR Kit', we plan to develop and supply educational materials and contents that implement various field practice courses in VR, and soon implement a metaverse-based non-contact physical therapy practice environment.
