Busan City participated in the World Smart City Expo 2023 held at KINTEX Exhibition Hall 1 in Goyang for three days from Wednesday, September 6th to Friday, September 8th. At this exhibition, Busan City established a ‘Green Smart City Busan’ promotional center and actively introduced the current status of Busan’s smart city construction and project performance.

In the global smart city hub center business area, the products and services of local excellent smart city companies selected through a contest, including Two Hands Interactive, Samwoo Immersion, and Formit, were promoted. These include ‘DIDIM (Two Hands Interactive)’, an indoor exercise and play platform using augmented reality (AR), and a real-time vertical site control system (Formit).
Lee Gyeong-deok, Director of the Future Industry Bureau, said, “Busan has Smart Village, the first smart city actual residential pilot area in Korea,” and added, “In addition, efforts are being made to develop and demonstrate digital twin-based smart city service technology through smart city national pilot cities, etc.”
