[Jeju = Reporter Seung-hoon Jwa] Jeju National University Engineering Education Innovation Center (Chairman Ki-joong Ahn) conducted 2 years in the 6th year (2017) annual evaluation conducted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea Institute of Technology Promotion for 60 engineering education innovation centers nationwide. It was announced on the 25th that it was selected as 'Excellent University', the highest grade in a row.
In this evaluation, the achievements of industry-university-linked education and various educational courses, such as the 'Track', a unique industrial-educational cooperation model of Jeju-Taiwan, and the 'Convergence New Technology Academy' in preparation for the 4th industrial revolution, received high scores.
The engineering education innovation support project aims to nurture creative convergence engineering talents through demand-oriented engineering education innovation and enhancement of global competitiveness. The business is going on.
Eight companies are participating in the track project, including Kakao, Jeju Semiconductor, Korea Midland Power, Topec Engineering, Samwoo Immersion, Yeongnam Construction Technology Education Center, Yusun Engineering, and Changchang Architects.
Ahn Ki-joong, director of the center, said, “We will do our best to help engineering students grow into practical, core talents with creative and convergent minds through continuous innovation in engineering education, customized education with industries, and cooperation with organizations such as Jeju Island and Jeju Techno Park.
