Baewha Women’s University Technical Cadet Training Project Group Conducts ‘Job Understanding and On-Site Experience Training’
The Technical Cadet Training Project Group at Baewha Women’s University conducted a 'Job Understanding and On-Site Experience Training'.
Baewha Women’s University (President Hu Chun Lee) Technical Cadet Training Project Group conducted a three-day, two-night ‘Job Understanding and On-Site Experience Training’ in Busan from the 16th to the 18th of last month for first- and second-year technical cadets.
Main activities included visits to the Smart City and K-ICT WEEK events at BEXCO, as well as on-site company visits and job understanding education. At these venues, the technical cadets were exposed to various future-demand field technologies such as autonomous driving, energy-efficient urban systems, and the Internet of Things (IoT). In addition, through a corporate visit to Samwoo Immersion Co., Ltd., a specialized company in the XR and AI fields, students participated in a special lecture on corporate organization and development processes, and experienced development tasks using AR/VR equipment.
A participating student commented, “Through this program, I was able to see how technologies needed in the field are developed and used, understand the importance and capabilities of small and medium-sized enterprises, and realize the perspectives I need to prepare for.” Another student stated, “By participating in the Technical Cadet Training Project and experiencing various corporate sites, I gained an understanding of real work environments beyond theory, and it was very helpful in developing the job competencies and mindset needed for job preparation.”
Kim Hyun-woo, head of the project group, said, “It was a meaningful time for students to experience various technologies and jobs, understand SMEs more deeply, and recognize the importance of IT,” adding, “We plan to continue expanding hands-on programs linked to career education.”
As of 2025, the Baewha Women’s University Technical Cadet Training Project Group is collaborating with Gyeongbok Business High School and Sunil Big Data High School as partner institutions, and is operating the project in cooperation with 37 companies. The group is also recruiting participating companies that require new high school graduates and skilled professionals.
