Yongin Youth Future Foundation Cheoinsung Community Center Successfully Concludes Youth Activity Program ‘Virtual Reality Class’ Strengthening Future Career Exploration through XR-Based Virtual Reality Experiences
[Gyeongin News = Reporter Choi Cheol-ho ] The Cheoinsung Community Center under the Yongin Youth Future Foundation (Chairman Lee Sang-il) announced that it successfully completed the youth activity program ‘2025 Virtual Reality Class,’ which explores future careers using XR (Extended Reality) and AR (Augmented Reality).
The program was held twice on November 1 and 15 (Saturday), from 1 PM to 3 PM. A total of 20 youth participants were selected from individuals able to attend both sessions. Participants engaged in various activities, including ▲basic coding education and XR-based planetary exploration, ▲future career exploration utilizing AR. Through XR technology, students experienced virtual simulations of real-world environments that are difficult to access directly—such as semiconductor manufacturing processes and chemical experiments at pharmaceutical companies—providing them with an opportunity to gain a more in-depth and multidimensional understanding of future career fields.
A representative from the Cheoinsung Community Center stated, “Through XR and AR technologies, the youth were able to directly experience future industries and broaden their career exploration.” They added, “We will continue to expand digital-based career exploration programs moving forward.” The center plans to continue offering various programs that allow local youth to engage with emerging technologies and explore their career paths independently.
