Dongseo University (President Jang Je-guk) announced on the 3rd that its Work-Study Dual System Joint Training Center held the “2025 Work-Study Dual System Performance Sharing Conference” on the 2nd at Park Hyatt Busan. The event presented the results of industry–academia cooperation achieved over the past year and recognized companies and students who contributed to regional industrial development.

The Work-Study Dual System, supervised by the Ministry of Employment and Labor and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea, is a customized education model in which universities and companies collaborate to provide students with field-oriented training. Dongseo University is successfully operating two programs the “Four-Year University Enrollment Model” and the “Advanced Industry Academy” and is serving as a core hub for regional talent development.

Approximately 70 participants attended the performance-sharing conference, including representatives from participating companies, faculty members, and students. Dongseo University reported that during 2025, a total of 53 enrolled students across 32 companies gained practical, job-related skills.

In particular, nine companies that provided high-quality on-site training opportunities were presented with appreciation plaques, reinforcing the spirit of mutual growth. The companies honored included: △Korens Co., Ltd. △Samwoo Immersion Co., Ltd. △UniOne Trading Co., Ltd. △ForYou Communications Co., Ltd. △Wyndham Grand Busan △KSB Sales Co., Ltd. △EasyGeo Co., Ltd. △KTE Co., Ltd. △Dong-A Planning.

Awards were also presented to outstanding participating students. The Grand Prize (President’s Award of the Human Resources Development Service of Korea) was awarded to student Lee Jeong-bin, who completed practical training at Korens Co., Ltd. The Excellence Award (Head of Busan Regional Headquarters, HRD Korea) was presented to students Bae Jeong-a and Park Jae-hyeon from Samwoo Immersion Co., Ltd..

Jeong Do-woon, Head of the Work-Study Dual System Joint Training Center at Dongseo University, stated, “Despite the challenging environment in which youth outflow from the region continues to accelerate, Dongseo University has consistently cultivated talent in advanced fields through specialized education, creative employment clubs, and NCS-based curricula.” He added, “We will continue to expand the work-study dual system through close cooperation with companies and achieve qualitative advancement of the system by creating new educational models.”

Based on these achievements, Dongseo University plans to further strengthen close cooperation with regional industries this year, taking the lead in addressing youth unemployment and revitalizing the local economy.
