Hands-on XR training transforms crisis response into real-world experience
Samwoo Immersion successfully completed a company-wide CPR-X–based XR cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training program for all employees over two days, on January 15 (Thu) and 16 (Fri), 2026. This program was conducted as a comprehensive safety training initiative aimed at developing practical emergency response capabilities, enabling employees to act decisively and confidently in real-life emergency situations.
The CPR training was organized as part of an industry employee education program hosted by the Disaster Safety Education Center of the RISE Project Group at Busan Women’s College, and was operated as a hands-on, practice-oriented training model tailored to real corporate environments through industry–academia collaboration. Rather than focusing solely on knowledge delivery, the program emphasized systematically assessing and strengthening the emergency response skills required in actual field situations.
The training was designed as a continuous cycle in which explanation, experience, and hands-on practice naturally repeated, rather than separating theory lectures from XR-based exercises.
Employees participated in group-based emergency scenario training within virtual environments using CPR-X, followed by immersive XR training with head-mounted displays (HMDs) and offline practical drills simulating real-world conditions. Through this structure, participants learned CPR procedures step by step in a way that translated directly into action. By combining XR-based virtual simulations with physical practice performed without HMDs, employees were able to experience the entire process—from situation awareness and decision-making to physical response—in an integrated manner. As a result, high levels of focus and active participation were maintained throughout the training.

The training utilized CPR-X (CPR/AED XR Training Kit), a proprietary solution developed by Samwoo Immersion. CPR-X combines XR technology with precision sensor–equipped manikins to realistically simulate emergency situations, enabling participants to experience CPR and AED procedures in an immersive and lifelike environment.
Real-time feedback on compression depth, speed, and posture allowed trainees to immediately assess and refine their actions, significantly improving accuracy and effectiveness.
Employees who participated in the program commented, “It was impressive to physically learn CPR rather than just understanding it in theory,” and “Practicing real scenarios gave me much more confidence.”
Faculty members who led the training also gave positive evaluations, noting that it was “an XR-based training environment with high applicability in real-world settings.”
This company-wide training went beyond a one-time experience, serving as an opportunity to accumulate individual emergency response capabilities into an organization-wide safety competency. Upon completion, certificates of completion were issued, establishing a structured system for recording and managing employee training histories.
