Future Talent Development Center 'SWXR Campus' successfully concludes corporate tour and customized XRยทAI convergence competency enhancement program for Jeonju University students.
The SWXR Campus, a future-oriented talent development center operated by SAMWOO IMMERSION, conducted an XRยทAI-based corporate tour program for university students on May 21st in collaboration with the Jeonju University Startup Support Foundation.
Marking its second iteration, this advanced tour welcomed a total of 40 participants, including 27 students and guiding faculty members. The program was designed to boost competencies by clarifying the integration mechanisms of XR and AIโthe next-generation core technologiesโand providing intuitive insights into their practical applications.
Moving beyond a simple site visit, this hands-on technology tour was curated to help students grasp core technological trends in the fast-evolving tech industry and experience firsthand the future value of virtual convergence technology.
The first session kicked off with an in-depth theoretical lecture covering the overall spectrum of virtual convergence technology. Starting with the core definitions and evolution histories of XR, AR, VR, and MR, the lecture delved into specific areas of application, illustrating how these technologies are currently reshaping various industrial landscapes. Notably, it analyzed vivid, real-world deployment cases within actual enterprises and shared comprehensive, practice-oriented tech trends regarding how the latest Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology is blending with XR content to create powerful synergies.
Subsequent sessions ran the corporate tour and XR hands-on experience simultaneously to maximize student engagement and efficiency. While one group toured the facility to see firsthand how SAMWOO IMMERSIONโs departments are structured and how employees execute their tasks, the waiting group made productive use of their time by exploring a variety of XR technologies and engaging in an in-depth Q&A session focused on "how deeply AI is actually being applied in the field."

The XR experience featured customized content that delivered both advanced technical validation and pure entertainment. A semiconductor process experience content, which allows users to learn the steps of the semiconductor industryโa core future sectorโwithin a virtual space, was operated so that students could directly witness the convergence potential of industry and technology. Alongside this, a fun-focused bakery experience content was provided, allowing even first-time VR users to easily and enjoyably immerse themselves, thereby intuitively showcasing the mainstream appeal and scalability of virtual reality technology.
Participating students expressed high satisfaction, sharing comments such as: "It was truly fascinating to see with my own eyes how an actual IT company's departments are organized and how they collaborate and work," and "It was a highly enjoyable and rewarding time because I could visually experience and compare the differences between VR and MR in a virtual space, which I had previously only heard about in theory."
An official from SWXR Campus stated, "We designed this second tour to help students from the Jeonju University Startup Support Foundation move beyond the perspective of just consuming technology, and instead find answers on how to understand and architect XR and AI as tools." They added, "Moving forward, we will continue our cooperation with specialized educational institutions to expand the horizons of advanced XRยทAI technology and take the lead in nurturing future tech talent."
